The casino is a location that all participants should realize is a place where politeness by all is highly valued. An unwritten rule should be observed to each everyone as one would want to be treated thus it will be a wonderful experience for all.
There are two rules in a casino that most players feel should be etched in stone. First is that the player is always right. And if the player happens to be wrong, refer to the first rule. Well this is not always true but the casino employees will attempt to make it happen as often as possible.
If interested in slots or video poker and it are crowded play only one machine so that others can also enjoy. This advice is good even when the casino-goers are scarce. When one concentrates on one machine only you can safely watch over it. There are some individuals who take advantage of inattentive players who don't watch over their machine and they make a career of ripping off chips and even sometimes other players' prize winnings.
It is advisable to play only one type of game at a time. For example don't play video poker and other kinds of slots at the same time. The player may not be able to make correct decisions on the cards dealt if you are dividing attention in pulling a slot handle with the other hand.
When opting to have a break, place a cup on the seat or on the handle to signal other potential players that you are still playing with that certain machine. If it is the other way around please take heed of these signs. For if someone insist on taking on that machine possible conflicts could arise and avoiding ugly situations should be everyone's goal.
Players should not hand over to the dealer cash to make change. Nor do you give chips to the dealer for it to be turned into cash. The dealers do not act as cashiers. You can however put you money on the layout and ask for change to chips only from the dealer. This is all right as long as the shooter has not gotten the dice or a card hand started.
Players should keep their hands out of the way that the dice is thrown. In card games only one hand on the table is normally allowed. This makes for a clean table and easily monitored by the casino staff.
Players should refrain from placing their chips and drinks on the tabletops. Tables have rails for you to store your gaming chips and shelves to place your drinks. In roulette the seats are for players only. Don't be rude if dealers instruct non-players to move. Also in roulette players need to have separate-colored chips. Your payoff will be slid to you and should be removed promptly.
Remember tipping is still up to the individual and no one is obligated to tip it is up the player at that time.
